Lisa was educated to degree level at Nottingham University and then went on to do the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Trent. She is a senior lawyer having over 20 years of experience as a family solicitor, having qualified in 1997.
Lisa joined Norton Peskett Solicitors in October 2004, having previously worked in Norwich. She became a Partner in 2007.
Lisa’s practice has historically covered all aspects of matrimonial law including divorce, cohabitation, children disputes and matrimonial finance. However Lisa now practices almost exclusively in the field of public (child care) law where she acts for children and also parents. Lisa also advises and represents foster carers, potential adopters and special guardians.
Lisa’s work also includes a keen interest in representing vulnerable individuals in proceedings with the assistance of the Official Solicitor.
Lisa is on the Law Society’s Children Panel and as such is an accredited specialist in that area. She is an experienced court advocate and much of her work is received through recommendation.
Lisa is a member of Resolution, thereby abiding by their Code of Practice, and also a Resolution trained Collaborative Lawyer.
Lisa’s commitment to supporting children and their families extends to her spare time. She is Trustee and on the Management Committee of a local Charity that assists children and their families.
Lisa otherwise enjoys socialising, the outdoor life, mountains (and anything involving snow!)
