Matthew Breeze

Matthew is a partner of the firm and head of the commercial department. Matthew joined the firm in October 1994. He qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in May 2004 and became a partner in 2019.

Matthew specialises in all areas of commercial property conveyancing including, but not limited to:

• Purchase and sale of freehold and leasehold properties
• Drafting and negotiating business leases for landlords and tenants
• Advising on business tenancy security documentation
• Acquisition and sales of businesses
• Overage Agreements
• Option Agreements
• Pre-emption Agreements
• Agricultural property transactions

Matthew is also the clerk to the Trustees of five associated charities which act together under the umbrella title of the Lowestoft Charity Board. Previous partners and employees of the practice have fulfilled this role for the Charities for a period in excess of 150 years. The aims of these Charities include the provision of a sheltered housing complex with 67 units for older persons, and making grants to persons in need and students in higher education.

Matthew was born and raised in the Great Yarmouth area, and continues to live close to the town with his wife and children. He is a supporter of Norwich City Football Club and has been a season ticket holder for over 25 years. He has previously coached youth football teams and holds a FA Level 1 Coaching qualification but now prefers to support his sons from the touchline. In his spare time Matthew enjoys running, and has completed various local running events at 10k, 10 mile and half-marathon distances.
